Established in 1978

Kelvin Palmer & Julian Martin formed Palmer & Martin in 1978. Originally the principle activity was servicing and repairing cars and commercial vehicles.

In 1996 they started van hire. Initially they used their skills as mechanics to repair and rebuild the engines of old vehicles that they would then hire out. Thankful they no longer have to do this as the hiring of vehicles really took off.

Nowadays all of our vehicles are new!! We still do all of the servicing and preventative maintenance ‘in house’ in our own workshop to ensure that our vehicles are kept in the best possible condition.

In 2016 Mr. Martin Retired from the business and Mr. Palmer took much more of a backseat leaving the day to day running to his two sons James & Ryan who have been involved with the business for over 15 years.

The business continues to grow and is going from strength to strength! This is largely down to the whole Palmer & Martin team working tirelessly to provide the highest levels of customer service.
