This relates to U.K. Driving Licences only. The paper counterpart of the driving licence was abolished in 2016. The check code gives the rental company access to check your Driving licence for Endorsements / Disqualifications etc.
75 years old is the maximum age as standard, however we may be able to do an insurance referral and extend cover to people older than this if certain criteria are met. Please contact the office and a member of staff will be able to assist.
Our standard procedure is to pay the PCN and recharge it to the hirer along with a small handling fee to cover our time for processing the PCN. We find this to be the simplest and most effective way of dealing with these issues
If you decline the additional Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) then your liability is £750.00 (per occurrence) – however if you choose to take the CDW then your liability is reduced to £250.00 on HGV’s, £150.00 on Vans & £100.00 on cars.
We log the amount of fuel that the vehicle has in it when it is collected and ask that you return the vehicle with the same amount of fuel. If the vehicle is returned under fuelled then a charge to replace the fuel with be applicable.
Yes. Included in the price is Breakdown cover. As we run various makes of vehicles we do not have a one size fits all phone number – however the number is generally in the Service pack of the vehicle which is located either in the glove box or under the passenger seat. Alternatively please contact our office and our team will sort the issue on your behalf.
If the vehicle is equip with a spare tyre, then the tools and jack etc will be in the vehicle. If you are happy to swap the tyre over with the spare then you will be able to do so, alternatively then call the breakdown assistance and they will attend. ***Please note that punctures are the drivers responsibility and charges to repair the puncture will apply and if the tyre is un-repairable due to sidewall damage or run-flat then a charge will be levied to replace the tyre***
Yes for hires under 28 days. Hires that are longer than 28 days are subject to mileage limitations. We allow 2800 miles per 28 days (100 miles a day) anything over this allowance is charged at £0.09 pence per mile.
Sadly, incorrectly refuelling a vehicle is the driver’s responsibility and charges will apply to resolve this issue. You can contact the breakdown assistance number in the vehicle or contact our office and our team will advise.
Yes, our Diesel vehicles are ad-blue. We keep the Ad-blue levels topped up before each rental, however if you are doing high mileage or have the vehicle for an extended period of time then you will be responsible for ensuring that the vehicle has sufficient levels of Ad-blue in it. If you are unsure then please contact our office and our team will gladly explain in more details.
We have spare keys to our vehicles kept at the office. We will make the necessary arrangements to get the spare key to you (at your cost) i.e. if we put the key in a taxi to you then you are responsible for the taxi fare. If you cannot find the key then charges will apply for a replacement key.
Yes, we ask that they be kept in the appropriate travel crate or at the very least that blankets or towels be put down to mitigate any hair or dirty paw prints. If any additional cleaning is required due to excessive pet hair or dirt then a small charge will apply.
Yes, additional drivers are permitted. We need to see the additional drivers Licence and Identification and they will need to sign a rental agreement so they will need to be present at collection or beforehand.
We need a minimum or 72 hours notice for a full refund to be issued. Anything less than this and a proportion of your rental will be refunded on a sliding scale taking into account the amount of notice given. If you cancel on the day then you will lose that day’s rental at the full undiscounted rate.
